I selected this photo because of the frozen sparks. Compositionally, the point of view is looking down rather than straight on eye level with the grinder. Also there is rule of thirds
shown with the grinder at the top horizontal third line. To take this photo I had the camera set on 1/200 (shutter speed) and f/22 (aperture/depth of field). |
This photo was taken for the portrait assignment. What I like about this photo is it looks like Devin just did a magic trick and revealed your card. My point of view was eye level with Devin. The photo follows the rule of thirds because Devin is on the left vertical third line.
The distance is around 8 feet. The ISO was set to 1600 and the White Balance was incandecant. |
I selected this photo because of the rich red color of the brick and the visible line of focused brick. There are leading lines because the focused grout leads your eye away to the unfocused portion to the right. Also there is depth
shown by the brick closest to the camera being in focus; it goes out of focus as the bricks fade away in the back. To take this photo I had the camera set on f/2 (aperture/depth of field) and ISO set at 400. |
Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is negative space. There is also line seen
Everywhere. When I edited this photo, I adjusted The greyscale making it black and white. The camera was set to a large depth of field making everything in focus. This photo reminds me of the movie iRobot. |
This photo was taken for the double exposure assignment.
What I like about this photo is its sense of humor. My point of view was eye level. The photo Follows the rule of thirds because my head is on the top third line. The depth of field is medium. The ISO was set to 1600 and the White Balance was incandescent. |
